BACKGROUND & PRINCIPLES

About NexHaus Technologies

We install in an existing home the same network, security and automation backbone that a commercial building gets — planned, documented, rack-mounted and ready for whatever comes next.

ORIGINS & PHILOSOPHY

Why we founded NexHaus

We spent fifteen years designing and maintaining mission-critical data networks and building management systems for enterprise campuses, financial exchanges, and medical facilities. When we looked at what was being installed in modern Australian homes, we saw a glaring disconnect.

Homeowners investing millions in architectural residences were being handed consumer plastic mesh routers, unmanaged switches, and battery cameras tied to recurring monthly cloud subscriptions. When walls closed or families grew, connectivity collapsed. The trade market treated home networking as an afterthought for general electricians.

We founded NexHaus to deliver commercial engineering rigor directly into established residences. We refuse to install consumer mesh kits, refuse to leave messy unlabelled cabling, and refuse to rely on proprietary cloud platforms for your family’s camera security. Instead, we build unified 19-inch steel rack systems that provide verifiable throughput, absolute data privacy, and the headroom to run local AI workloads.

ENGINEERING DIMENSION NEXHAUS TECHNOLOGIES STANDARD RETAIL / TRADE INSTALLER
Initial Engineering & Design Predictive RF heat-mapping, electrical load calculation, and schematic cable schedules prepared before work commences. Ad-hoc guesswork on the day of install with no formal engineering plan or coverage simulation.
Hardware Specification Enterprise rack-mounted managed switches, PoE+ power delivery, optical uplinks, and industrial-grade silicon. Plastic consumer routers, off-the-shelf mesh extenders, and retail plug packs.
Retrofit Installation Method Non-destructive void and riser routing; zero unnecessary plaster cuts in over 92% of installations. Exposed external surface trunking, staple-pinned cabling along baseboards, or destructive wall cuts.
Network Security & Privacy Cryptographically isolated VLANs separating cameras, IoT devices, guests, and corporate workstations. 100% on-premises storage. Single flat network exposing home computers to vulnerable IoT smart plugs; mandatory recurring cloud subscriptions.
Documentation & Handover As-built schematics, laser-etched port identifiers, Fluke certification throughput reports, and warranty dossiers. Unlabelled cables, no password documentation, and zero formal speed certification.
Headroom for AI & Future Tech Dedicated 10Gb backbone, thermal extraction margins, and UPS capacity for local GPU inference servers. Capacity capped at current consumer gear; whole system requires tearing out for any future expansion.

QUALITY ASSURANCE

Our four installation commitments

Every technician operates according to strict operational standards designed for occupied residences.

01

Zero exposed cables & conduits

Every single cable run is fished cleanly through wall cavities, floor risers, or architectural ceiling spaces. We maintain a zero surface-trunking rule.

02

On-site system documentation & schematics

You receive a complete physical and digital as-built portfolio: CAD elevation drawings, IP tables, VLAN maps, and permanent port labelling.

03

Complete clean-site protocol

We deploy industrial HEPA air extraction, drop sheets across all work paths, and leave residential spaces spotless at the end of each working day.

04

Six-month on-site warranty & tune-up

Every installation includes a comprehensive 6-month on-site warranty and fine-tuning visit to optimize RF roaming and firmware releases.
